A Community Favorite Since 2003
We worked together for about five years in the early 1980s with the Merlino family. I was still working there while going to college when your dad started stopping by to visit, and before long, he fell in love with me. He took me on one motorcycle ride, and from that moment on, we were inseparable.
Frosty Moments That Spark Joy
At the time, he was working in construction while I continued my job at the restaurant. I was actually the only girl they ever taught how to work the freezer. Years later, in 2000, the Merlino family filed for bankruptcy, and your dad was doing construction out of town. By then we were already married with five boys, and we decided to open our own restaurant with the Merlino family’s blessing. They told us that if anyone could make it work, it would be the two of us.
